The Latest In Handbag Fashion

Purses and handbags have been a "fad" type fashion for years. This year is no exception. There is a different style for every personality imaginable!

Listed among the top 20 bags of the season, you will find fashions ranging from short and "squatty" satchels to a totebag style that seems larger than life itself! Odd shapes are also in this year. Colors and prints are definitely in. Large bold prints like wide colorful stripes, large zebra prints, geometric prints, or bold colors such as bright reds, pinks, and golds are also included in the season's rage.

Features on the hottest handbags and purses are the metal accents, such as large buckles, padlocks, chain straps, large zippers, rivets, and the like. The smaller bags tend to have more outside compartments to highlight more of the metal accents pieces. These bags would be used for more practical every day use. The "larger than life" bags are basically one large open area and certainly concentrate on "making a statement".

As any other product, you can find a wide variety of discount handbags and purses, as well as many places to obtain the "real deal" designer bags. Prices can range from $20 to over $2,000. The rage and the price is entirely up to you. You don't have to feel out of place this year, as there is truly a style available for absolutely every type of personality out there in any price range you want to spend!

Clutch and Choke

It’s time to ditch those oversized bags and dainty necklaces – this season is all about the clutch and the choker. Though the season’s chokers aren’t likely to fit inside of all those tiny clutches, the two seem to be inseparable on runways across the globe.

Many designer labels have recently come out with “mini” versions of their famous handbags. Prada, for example, has recently released an entire line of (very colorful) clutches that nearly every woman can happily carry around in her hand. While clutches used to be seen only at cocktail parties and formal dinners, these compact bags are really showcasing the “less is more” attitude that is taking this season by storm. Though clutches are back, you’ll want to skip the classic clutch and go for the rainbow inspired clutch this season. What goes best with a small designer clutch? Why, an oversized choker, of course.

The chokers that are gracing models necks this season are certainly not small in size. In fact, you will find that most stores are now carrying very large chokers, and pairing them with simply frocks. Yves St. Laurent is leading women by the neck this season with humongous chokers that, well, almost choke a girl. Still, these brassy necklaces just make a girl feel good, so go ahead and plaster your neck with an larger than life choker this season. From hats to clutches to chokers – this season is going to be like none other before it ... so, get ready to stand out. If there are two fashion “must haves” this year, they are the choker and the clutch.

Shop Japan Online

Staying one step ahead of the trends is a challenge any fashion conscience woman is interested in. Most of us think that involves watching the runways of Milan and Paris and other European fashion hotspots, but to be truly be unique, try looking to the East. Japanese fashion can be quirky or dramatic, but most of all it's fashion forward, and purchasing those fun Japanese fashions is easy if you know how.

A nine-hour flight to Tokyo is no longer necessary thanks to the internet and the recognition from Japanese businesses that there is an increasing Western interest in their fashions. Purchasing Japanese fashions has typically been difficult: Japanese sellers won't shop to addresses outside of Japan, and there's the issue of currency exchange and conversion. Thanks to online bidding services created specifically to assist Westerners in buying Japanese clothing, this is no longer a problem.

Companies like From Japan arose to allow Westerners to bid on products offered in Yahoo!auctions, but they also offer a service where they will travel to Japanese stores and purchase the specific items you indicate to them. They have links of popular Japanese stores, most in English, where you can make your selections and then contact From Japan to have them purchase the items and then ship them to you, shopping bag included. They charge a small fee for this service, and of course you are responsible for international shipping costs.

With a few clicks of the button, a credit card, or a PayPal account, you can dress yourself in the latest trends from the streets of Shibuya. It's something to consider when you're tired of shopping from the same old shops at home and you want to wear that one-of-a-kind outfit without purchasing an original.

Unbelievable Sources Of 'Green' Fashions And 'Friendly' Ways To Clean Them

It appears that sources of 'green' fashions and accessories are becoming more numerous. Bamboo is readily available and grows very quickly. Consequently, resources are replenished at a rate making it a valuable commodity. Materials made from bamboo grass keep you cooler and are biodegradable. Corn has long been a staple of diets around the world, and it is now being grown and used to make materials and cloth. The starch and sugar are removed from the corn and turned into fibers that can be woven into materials used to make trendy fashions.

Who would have thought cloth could be made from plastic bottles? Fortrel EcoSpun is made from recycled bottles into 'fleece' that is woven into long-lasting materials prized by savvy backpackers. Unbelievably, milk silk is a product developed from mixing goat's eggs and genetic material from spiders. The goats produce milk that is comprised of fibers that when concentrated are made into silk threads. The US military turned down the use of this product and it is now being used as biodegradable sutures. Experiments are being conducted to determine if artificial ligaments are viable. Bulletproof material has been produced from this odd process. The imagination and creativity of mankind is the only limit to developing goods that are environmentally friendly.

Cleaning 'normal' clothes and those made from 'friendly' fibers should be equally friendly. Bleaching clothes in the sun has been used for centuries. Tomato stains can be removed by the use of lemon juice and leaving the fabric in the sun. Tea tree oil is an excellent disinfectant if you happen to be out of hot water. Grass stains can be removed with rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide is good for blood stains. It can be hard on fabrics so use it sparingly. In time, new resources can be produced to provide environmentally friendly materials that can be cleaned in an equally friendly manner.

Who Would Have Thought That The New Fashion Would Be 'Green'?

Fashionistas are always looking for new trends in order to make themselves stand out. Many designers are looking in unique directions when procuring fabrics and materials to make environ- mentally friendly clothing. 'Green' clothing is being eyed by the higher-end consumers as well as those who have been using and wearing eco-friendly clothing and accessories for years. First of all, a fabric is considered 'friendly' if the substance it is made from is quickly renewable. Next, if a minimal amount of land or water resources are used to produce the material, it is thought to leave much less of a smudge on the environment. Lastly, a fabric or cloth that does not require toxic chemicals during processing to bring it to fruition is highly desirable by environmentally conscious producers of goods.

Hemp, organic cotton, and soy silk are made into cloth. Naturally insect repellent, hemp grows with the amount of water nature gives it. Weed control is not an issue because it grows thick and lush. Hemp has long fibers that are perfect for spinning and weaving without much processing. It takes natural dyes easily and is long- lasting. Organic cotton is grown without chemicals and pesticides. More farmers are taking advantage of the new opportunities to produce materials that are less harmful to the environment. Soy silk is actually made from the residuals of the tofu making process. The leftover proteins are pressed through an extruder and the fibers are woven into thread like any other fiber.

Organically produced materials for belts, shoes, handbags and other accessories are more in demand. Along with the fashionable clothing produced without petroleum and toxic chemicals, the wearer has the satisfaction of having contributed to cleaner land and water as well as having a step up on their friends.

Gucci Causes Envy

When Gucci tells people to “Envy Me” the response is an emphatic: “Oh, but we do!” The signature line that has made couture a household term even in homes that can’t afford it has created some scents that are too good to miss. The “Envy Me” perfume is a light and airy fragrance that is unforgettable.

“Envy Me” is made up mostly of peony and jasmine, but also has some surprising twists in the fragrance thanks to the pink pepper that is also included in the mixture. The fragrance is meant to be flirty and fun with a little bit of an edge. It is definitely a scent that makes others sit up and take notice. The “Envy Me” line is complimented by the “Envy” fragrance. The flower notes in this perfume come from hyacinths, magnolias, and lilies, making it a feminine and graceful choice for those that like to be soft and delicate. Either “Envy” line will certainly have everyone doing just that.

If you aren’t really one for flower scents, no matter how high-end they happen to be, you might be more interested in Gucci’s Eau de Parfum II. This blend takes on more fresh and fruity aromas that won’t seem overly sticky sweet to you, or anyone else. Its main components are mandarin and blackberry, and can be used all over for a subtle, playful fragrance. Whether you go for either partner in the “Envy” line or the fruity alternative, you know if it’s Gucci, it’s got to be good.

Lace Everywhere

The fashion world seems to be moving more and more towards the true feminine look, which means that all things flowy and romantic have come back into style this 2008 season. Amongst those inspirations taken from fairy godmothers and princesses alike is all things lace – with a twist.

You will see a lot of lace accessories and fashion this coming spring season, and even though a lot of these trends are showcasing antique, classic, lace pieces, some designers have chosen to head towards black and modern lace as well. While there aren’t a lot of tightly fitting lace pieces to choose from, there are a lot of dresses and skirts that flow with the sparkle of iridescent lace. You will find that lace pieces are drastically different from design to design, and some styles of lace cannot be worn by every body type. In order to find the lace fit that is right for you, try on a few different lace frocks, and decide whether you are best suited for large lace designs or smaller designs that cover more of your body.

While some people may find it hard to invest in a wardrobe full of lace, this material can easily give off a great feminine mystique should it be paired properly. Avoid bodysuits and tight fitting dresses that are covered in lace, and stick to those long skirts that have a bit of a lace overlay. You will also find that some lace designs incorporate lace into the sleeves and backs of dresses, and these can be amongst the most flattering pieces to choose.

Perfumes Go Back To Nature

Let’s talk about perfume. Let’s talk about all those overpowering, too much floral, heavily scented perfumes. If the thought of perfume makes your head spin and your stomach lurch, there is good news on the horizon – the latest perfumes are subtle, sweet, and all natural.

Some of the best scent companies out there right now include: “Rich Hippie (fresh, spirited, and glamorous),” “Nature Girl (superbly unisex fragrances),” and “Tsi-La Organics (fruity and delicious).” These perfumes come in small, charming, bottles that will last quite awhile and most of these scents are oil based, not alcohol based, so they will prevent those blinding headaches. Perfumes were meant to be subtle and sexy, but lately perfumes seem to have gone straight to gaudy. If you are tired of seeking the perfect perfume, try one of the organic natural scents that are mentioned above. Most of these companies can be found with a quick internet search, but some of them area also available at fine stores.

When it comes to perfumes, make sure that your is not overbearing, and make sure that you wear it properly too – place perfume you your pulse spots, do not spray repeatedly, and walk into your scent rather than spray it directly on. If you are trying to attract the opposite sex, nothing will turn away anyone that you adore faster than a chemically concocted scent, so stick to these natural scents instead. For the most part, you can usually buy samples of the aforementioned perfumes (just in case you are not sure of a scent), but if you really want to dive head in make sure to pay attention to the note that are mentioned underneath each variety.

Femininity Is Back

Are you tired of hiding your feminine curves beneath clothes that just make you look like a young boy? Well, this season the female form is back, and it is much more feminine than ever before. Styles that are popping off of the runways emulate the ways in which women dressed during the 1950s (no Poodle skirts, sorry!), and some styles are even reaching as far back as the 1920s.

Designers are creating variations of the flapper dress and you will even see a large amount of poofy skirts this spring. It seems as though color has won most designer’s hearts this year, but black and white is still the epitome of sophistication. Imagine a long, full, black and white skirt (if you will) fitted with a thin belt at the waist (not hips), and a pair of superb heels to match. If you become adventurous and tie your hair up in a ponytail, you may be channeling Lucile Ball in no time. Speaking of hair, your coiffe is going to get a glamorous makeover this season as well, and hair pieces are now more glitzy than every before.

Although most women tend to save the glitter hair clips for their wedding day, all designers are showcasing hair clips that simply sparkle with diamonds and crystals this season. During the spring, expect to see ponytail holders that glimmer and hair clips that simply shine – which, of course, means that a lot of updos are now in fashion. You can also expect to see a bit of the fantastic incorporated into your wardrobe this coming season, as designers take inspiration from decades past, they are also looking to the bright and airy future. Think gauze, lace, thin layers, puffy skirts, fairy tale hair pieces, and you’ll soon understand where fashion is heading this spring.

Watch for Style

Every independent woman needs to know what time it is, especially when it comes to fashion. No woman should have to rely on a man to give her the time of day. Besides, we all know that men run on different time anyway. Just remember, you can look gorgeous wearing a watch just like any other piece of jewelry.

A hot timepiece can be the focal point of your outfit or be a simple compliment to it. No matter what size your bank account is, there is a watch that fits it. For women that have some cash to burn, Chopard makes a watch worth checking out. The Chopard Happy Sport Ladies Watch 27/6150-21 can be seen on Stein Diamonds’ website www.steindiamonds.com. It is an elegant time piece made with 18k yellow gold. Its face has Roman numeral style numbering and 5 floating diamonds. The crown and lugs are embedded with ruby, and the band is reminiscent of a bracelet of golden droplets. It retails for about $15,200. For those of us who are on a stricter budget, fashionable alternatives can be found in stores such as Dillard’s. On Dillard’s website, www.dillards.com, the BCBGirls “Gold Rush” Black Dial Watch exhibits the colors of the season. This watch has a large, round black face with inlayed gold colored dashes. A graceful, golden bracelet overlaps and embraces the face. This unique watch is reasonably priced at $95.

Most department stores and fine jewelers provide an extensive selection of women’s watches. Regardless of your tastes and budget, there are plenty to choose from. So, why not have a little extra time on your hands?

New Spring Jewelry Ideas

Spring has not yet sprung, but jewelry designers all across the land are beginning to showcase new spring styles. Since this spring will be all about the female fairy tale, jewelry this season will reflect this whimsical ideal. Keep your jewelry simple and elegant this coming year, and you will find that the new jewelry fashions are more flattering than ever before.

Remember those romantic tales of old? Well, the ever endearing locket is back in fashion, and this type of jewelry is quite classic as well. Also, look for different types of metals, looped pearls, lariat neck pieces, hearts, and classic Swarovski shapes. Many different clothing items this season will allow a lot of neck room, so go ahead and stock up on some great new jewelry to go along with those new tops. Jewelry does not tend to change drastically from year to year, but this season is really getting a makeover in the jewelry department. While seasons past have been all about large, clunky, pieces, this year the jewels are suave and chic, but not over the top.

Mix elegant with modern, and you will be slightly avante garde this season, but if you want to be one with the current trend, go for the “less is more” look. Although most stores are starting to bring in new jewelry lines, you will want to wait until the spring season starts peeking around the corner before you decide to buy any jeweled piece. Then again, you can always buy a necklace or bracelet that is timeless, and in this case you cannot go wrong. It’s time for a jewelry change, so start thinking about your idea of feminine mystique before you hit the stores this spring.

Wide Leg Jeans Are Back

If you hate the skinny jean trend – it’s time to rejoice! Wide leg jeans are back, and they are badder than ever before. Let’s face it, those skinny jeans only looked great on a handful of people, and most people wound up looking like sausages stuffed into too tight pants. This coming season, get ready to see some of the best wide leg jeans to ever hit the market – you are going to love these.

Citizens of Humanity has just comes out with a new wide leg jean that comes complete with some gorgeous distressing. This jean hits higher on the waist, and it flares out from the knee to give the pant an overall trouser look. Gap has also just introduced their “Sailor Jean” that is really the best of both worlds. The Sailor jean sits low on the waist, but it is a wide leg jeans, so it really balances out your body perfectly. Though these are some jeans that I love, you can easily find wide leg jeans nearly everywhere now.

Finally, fashion has found its senses and the skinny jean is no more. If you are still sporting that skinny look, it’s time to get some new duds. For the rest of use, we can breathe a sigh of relief and start fitting properly into jeans once more. With each new year comes new styles, and those styles that were bad from the start will be gone forever. This coming season, make sure you have a pair of wide leg jeans, and I guarantee that you will not want to let this new fashion go anytime soon.

Scarves and Belts

What are the two “must have” accessories for this coming spring season? Scarves and skinny belts are all the rage at the moment, and if you want to be in style this spring, you will run out to your nearest store, and snatch up these items before they are all gone.

Trends seem to be moving backwards in time as of late, and this year the accessory fashions have gone all the way back to the early 1950s. Silk scarves (think Hermes), and skinny belts will be seen on nearly every body this spring, and these fashions are the epitome of glamor. To wear a scarf (silk is best), do not wrap it around your head. Instead, scarves should be worn folded and wrapped around your neck to emphasize your fantastic outfit. Skinny belts should be worn at waist level (skip the low rise jeans this season), and cinched to accentuate your slim waistline. Gone are the days when low pants and thick belts ruled the fashion world, this season – thin is in.

It is worth mentioning that silk scarves can also be tied around loose ponytails, but the bandanna is definitely not what this season is all about. If you want to see a great example of this new fashion, think back to the 1950s and find photographs of those girls wearing poodle skirts (not back in fashion, thank goodness) with silk hair scarves. The idea this season is to become a classic beauty with a bit of a futuristic edge. If you do not have a Hermes budget, you can easily find great silk scarves all over the internet, or you can buy new silks at a retail store near you. The spring season may not be here yet, but spring fashion for 2008 is already starting to pique the interest of fashionistas all around the globe.

I know that you all have the latest design jeans on the market, so if you have a pair that you don’t wear anymore, pop in to Aeropostale and save a teen’s fashion world. Aeropostale is launching a new campaign called Teens for Jeans, and this charity drive is certainly worth a bit of your extra time.

Gilty Couture

Is your iPhone stuck in the boring world of plastic casing? If you crave something just a bit different for your favorite phone, why not head to Gilty Couture where the world has gone glitzy. Gilty Couture sells iPhone “acoutrements” that are made exclusively for the glamor girl.

Celebrities tend to set the trends, and this year will be all about the Gilty Couture phone. Gilty Couture has come up with a line of iPhone and iPod shells that are decked out in gold, silver, or pink, and all of these shells are lined with Swarovski crystals. Nearly every celeb in Hollywood was seen purchasing a Gilty Couture iPhone case at a recent Gilty launch, and it seems as though one case is just not enough. Some celebrities actually purchase one case in each color from the Gilty line, and why not? The Gilty Couture cases ranged in price from $100 - $130, and they will be the one accessory to have this fashion season.

Imagine laying on the beach (Gucci suit looking nearly spotless), and picking up your Gilty Couture phone. As the sun hits those crystals, the entire beach is sure to turn around in certain envy. If you think that you have everything, you certainly don’t have one of these fabulous cases (not yet, anyway). The Gilty Couture line has just been released to the general public, and now you can simply shop online for your favorite iPhone look. If you are dying to get you hands on all that glistens, head to http://shop.giltycouture.com and snatch up your Swarovski case before they are all gone.

Bye Bye Ballerina

Were you in the habit of cringing every time a woman wearing “ballerina flats” walked by? Well, it’s time to rejoice – heels are back, and they are more colorful than ever before. For those of use that are not supermodel tall, wearing flat shoes really did nothing for our overall height, but since flat shoes were in, most of us acquiesced. The newest shoe trend to hit the fashion world is all about height, and these shoes are making quite a statement.

A cross between 1970s disco and 2008 mod, the new heels of the season are coming out in many different shades. To start, Marc Jacobs has just released a shoe that is really quite bizarre. Even though some think that Jacobs got his inspiration from the former Jetsons cartoon, his latest shoes feature a heel that is, quite literally, on the toe. If you prefer something a bit more, well, normal, you can opt for Prada’s new shoe line that features a seriously psychedelic heel. Prada’s new heels seem to be made from rainbows, and those that love disco fever will certainly love this new shoe trend.

Almost every designer is now coming up with some sort of way to re-invent the heel, but all designers are not sticking to basic black this year. If you aren’t sure how to wear color on your feet, think about pairing that little black dress with a bold, colorful, heel. Nobody says that you have to match your clothes to your shoes, and these new whimsy heels will likely make you feel like a true fashion diva. Unless you are practicing for next year’s Nutcracker Ballet, it’s time to toss those horrendous ballet flats and start picking up some great new heels.

As Good As Gold

The secret word is out -- 2008 is a year that’s going to glitter. All things this coming spring season will be reflected in gold, and it seems as though you won’t be able to get enough of it. From glittering gold lip gloss to all gold gowns, the new fashion is in, and it’s all about gold.

It’s really difficult to find something right now that dose not have a few gold flecks embedded in it. One of the most popular items at the moment is Yves St. Laurent’s golden lip gloss, which actually has 24-carat gold pieces inside of it. Also, gold jewelry (rings, earrings, and necklaces) will be popping up everywhere very soon, and it seems as though bigger is better this year. Of course, you can easily bring those gold accessory tones right into your personal wardrobe, and you will find gowns of all styles and prices decked out in glamorous gold.

If you aren’t sure about wearing too much gold, you can always look for golden makeup. That’s right, this coming year will feature golden mascaras, gold colored eye shadows, and even a bit of gold on your cheeks. And, if you are really loving this gold craze, you can even opt for the golden facial (swiftly becoming popular in top salons), which features gold flecks. Gold will be everywhere you turn come spring, so start buying all the gold that you can find right now and set the trend. There you have it, everything this coming season will be as good as gold, so skip those other metals and head directly for all that glitters.

Must Have Sheer Tops

Do you know where fashion is headed this coming spring season? Well, if you happened to be sitting in the front row during New York City’s fashion week, you might have spotted some rather see-through trends. Very soon you will see stores shelves lined with sheer tops, and women’s fashion is just about to get a bit more daring.

When speaking of sheer, I am not talking about full on translucent, so forget about those mesh tops and black bras. Instead, sheer is starting to take a more feminine turn, and the latest sheer tops are long, sexy, form fitting, and just a bit girly. You will find lots of ruffles, lace, and even a bit of ribbon on most sheer tops this season, but you will also find that the sheer tops coming out are modern in their own right. The sheers of the new season will not be short belly shirts, but they will continue the trend of hip covering tee’s, which most girls love, so skip those badly designed eighties lookalikes.

Since color is rather abundant this season, look for your sheer tops in slate blues, lush reds, and even a few dark blacks, but white seems to be the color not to look for when it comes to sheer. Always wear a cute camisole underneath a sheer top, and never allow your bra to show. Sheer is back, so get ready to show off a bit of that skin. Start shopping for sheer tops online today, or look for them in retail stores within a few months. Also, the sheer trend has started to trickle down to various designer dresses, which can add a bit of allure to your wardrobe if need be – happy shopping!

Behold the Glove

Once upon a time, ladies wore hats and gloves to nearly every occasion. To be dressed without a pair of gloves to match every outfit was almost the same as not being dressed at all. Suddenly, the 1970s came smashing into the world of women’s accessories, and women disregarded the fashionable glove altogether. However, gloves are back, and they are more luxurious than ever before.

You may not see glove shops just yet, but high end department stores have begun carrying fine ladies gloves once more. The type of glove that I am speaking about is not the type of glove that you would take to a ski slope. Instead, the newest trend in women’s wear, the glove, is sophisticated, elegant, and all female. You will begin to see leather gloves, fine cotton gloves, and silk gloves all around you very soon, and these gloves are meant to be worn with everyday wear. The verdict on wearing a pair of fine gloves with a pair of jeans has yet to be determined, but if you have a wedding or other occasion to attend, gloves are a must this season.

There are many different lengths when it comes to finding the perfect glove, and you will generally want to choose a short length for a daytime occasion, and a longer length for those decadent evenings. It should comes as little surprise that gloves are back, considering the fact that fashion seems to have embraced the idea of a true femme fatale. From top hats to clothing that really fits a girl’s figure, the season’s upcoming trends are all about the true lady within. If you want to get a head start on the latest fashion accessory, look for a few pairs of fine gloves at a luxury department store near you.

2008 Handbag Trends

Ladies! The new 2008 handbag trends are in, and this season is all about that certain shimmer. You may find the newest handbag styles slightly loud, but simply incorporating one of these superb handbags into your wardrobe this season will result in all fashionistas bowing at your (finely dressed) feet.

The runways are jam packed right now with fashion shows of all kinds, but taking center stage this season is the almighty handbag. Designers such as Valentino have started the handbag trend this season with some very shimmery bags, indeed. To start, Valentino’s pink and purple metallic purses with bows really grabbed viewer’s attention, and this designer’s Indigo bag really turned heads. It seems as though crocodile bags are back in fashion, but this time you can expect to see crocodile prints taking on some great color.

Canadian designer LuLu Lemon Athletica has just come out with a new crocodile bag to die for that is encased in seductive red leather; and Valentino’s runway was entirely lit up by the addition of a crocodile bag decked out in red, purple, green, and blue. In fact, nearly everything about bags this season is glittery, with the exception of a few classic pieces. Those runway bags that did not act as reflecting pools included classic black and white bags, white bags with gold handles, and black bags with gold piping. However, if you really want to be at the height of fashion this season, you will look to all things shiny for inspiration.

Trendy Handbags For The New Year

Some of the hottest purse trends are coming from Maxx New York this year. The company was founded in 1988, by husband and wife team Cherie Christmas and Yacob Assayag in an attempt to make affordable fashion purses that New Yorkers were seeking. They focus on trends, but remain loyal to the contemporary handbags that stay in fashion for years to come. This year they have Mambo Velvet Hobo, the Cha Cha Chain Bag and the Maxx New York Large Tote. Their bags are considerably more reasonable in price than the popular fashion designer handbags.

The most popular purse models this year are coin purses, monogrammed purses, leather purses, cigar box purses and mini backpack purses. Gucci’s three most popular handbags this season are the Bardot Bag, the Jackie O Bag and the Bamboo Bag. These handbags average in price from $350.00 to $450.00, and are very trending and stylish for the upcoming year.

Prada also has some new and trendy handbags out this year. Some of the most interesting are the Dressy New Look Hobo for $1,350.00, Tessuto Fiocco Tote for $595.00, and the Satin Fold-Over Clutch for $695.00. Prada is known for being one of the most sought after designers with its triangle logo and is likely the most imitated fashion accessory on the market today.

There are many new styles and options this year in the handbag industry. If you are looking for an authentic designer bag, check to see that it is from a reputable site. There are many sites that offer replicas or imitation purses, which advertises discounts far below market prices. Always check the markings of the handbag to make sure it is authentic when you receive your parcel. Designers mark their handbags so that the consumer knows they are getting the real thing.

The Fashionable Year That Was

The start of a new year, and the bidding farewell to an old one often are reflective kinds of times. And looking back over the year of 2007 it is clear that fashion and fashion accessories have taken huge steps in new directions, jumping happily from the practical and reasonable to the fanciful and luxury-filled. People were willing to take chances with fashion, to mix and match and go a little over the edge, and most are continuing to enjoy their new found freedom.

Surrealism seemed to be the key word of the day in the fashion world in 2007, especially towards the end of the year. Designers were featuring fabulous accessory items such as vivid purple heels with bright multi-colored flame relief designs on the heel, red straps and a tea cup handle on the heel, courtesy of Miu Miu. Glittering gold, dazzling gems, and flashy jewelry reigned supreme, but all that glamour came with a very hefty price tag. Consider the Bottega Ventea bag that sold for $78,000 or the unprecedented Birkins by Hermes, that were made from crocodile and pave diamonds and sold for $148,000. Or if gold is really your thing, how about a pair of C-3PO leggings from Nicolas Ghesquière's Spring '07 Balenciaga runway collection. They are truly unique and truly pricey at $158,000.

So what does this flaunting of luxury mean to those of us who can’t quite take in the posh fashion shows? Mainly, the price of fashion is on the rise even down to the ready-to-war sets. Will 2008 bring more of the same? We’ll have to keep our fingers crossed and wait to see. In the meantime, we can look back fondly over the truly odd turns in the fashion world during 2007. Diamond encrusted human skull replica, anyone?

Brighton Jewelry

If you love unique and high quality silver jewelry, you'll love Brighton's jewelry collection. Brighton is a company that makes many elegant leather and silver accessories such as sunglasses, handbags, belts, and jewelry. Their name is associated with quality.

Brighton's silver jewelry is unique and beautiful, often featuring hearts, gems, and intricate swirling designs. Best of all, it doesn't go out of fashion: Brighton makes jewelry with quality and longevity in mind. Each piece is a classic, and it is made to last. All you have to do is hold a Brighton necklace in your hand to feel its weight, see the details, and know that this is not some chintzy thing you might wear for a few seasons before you toss it away.

A ring or a necklace made by Brighton could easily become a family heirloom, because it will truly last that long. It can be passed on from one generation to the next. You can't say the same for most costume jewelry!

Although Brighton believes in quality, they don't believe in using their name to extract the most money from their customers: Their jewelry is reasonably priced. You don't have to spend a fortune to buy something that's unique, looks beautiful, and will last for many years to come.

It's easiest to find Brighton jewelry in one of their chain stores, but if there isn't one close to you, it may be possible to find a store that carries their jewelry. You can also find something easily enough by shopping online.
